(c) William Russell

The Eventuals of mankind
Walketh the line of unknown destiny
Plummeting mindlessly into the heart
Of a world of beauty
Imploding in thought
With lust and desire
In the need to engulf and consume
As much in a single breath of mind
Before the reality of the illusion
Dissipates into a shattered mosaic
Of the dream of mislaid dreams
When panic ascends into a life
Of uncertainty
That the future will not bring
The desires of the original dream
